I love drinking teas. It has less caffeine than coffee and contains polyphenols that help with wellness of the body.It has different flavors and can be sweetened with stevia, honey and maple syrup. You get the benefit of tea without adding milk. Teas are life savers. There are different types of teas like green tea, white tea, black tea, oolong tea. These teas are made from the same plant, Camellia Sinensis , the difference between them is the length of oxidative processes, each of them undergoes. The black tea undergoes the most length of time and therefore contains less of the active ingredient, polyphenols.. Other types of teas are called herbal teas .Herbal teas are made from herbs, and they are medicinal. Studies show that they are used for different purposes, to help with lack of energy, weight loss, sleep, blood sugar and blood pressure regulation , gastrointestinal disorders, cramps, or as a preventive measure, for wellness. PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE.
Regularly drinking green tea ( powdered form is called Matcha ) can help you lose weight and reduce your risk of several diseases. Drinking three cups of green tea per day without milk seems to be optimal to reap the most health benefits. Herbal teas are just as good as green tea. You can drink some herbal teas alone, or can blend 2 or 3 teas together, depending on what benefits your are targeting and that is even better.
